Kure Energy is a locally owned and operated solar and electrical company based in Hilo, Hawaiʻi.

We bring over 15 years of solar installation experience and 20 years of electrical expertise to every project we take on. That combination — deep electrical knowledge paired with modern solar and battery systems — is what allows us to do work that most contractors simply cannot.

We are not a national franchise. We are not a mainland company that flew in. We are your neighbors, and we are deeply invested in the future of this island.

Why We Do This Work



Hawaiʻi Island has some of the highest electricity costs in the country. Most homes are still wired using designs created long before solar energy, battery storage, or EV charging existed.

We started Kure Energy because we believe homes here should be built smarter — with the infrastructure to support modern energy systems from the very beginning, not as an afterthought years later.
